Dear NERWOCN members...
 
While many of us were happy to see 2020 end, 2021 has also proved to be challenging.  However, we will continue to work towards a happier and healthier 2021. Several of our dear friends have or are recuperating from the effects of Covid-19 illness. We keep you in our thoughts. Please continue to prioritize your health. With CDC guidance and the rollout of vaccinations, we look forward to gathering again.
 
We would like to list some of NERWOCN’s accomplishments of 2020:
-          We have continued to increase our membership.
-          We have awarded 4 academic scholarships.
-          Our members have been on the frontline of Covid-19 providing direct care.
-          Several of our members are part of original research on the effects of Covid-19; and
-          We hosted a very well attended virtual conference…our very 1st virtual conference

 

 

Thank you to all who have volunteered and continue to make the NERWOCN a successful and well-respected region.

 

In addition, we have several announcements:
-          Thank You to Susan Roque for being our regional treasurer from 2019-2020
-          Congratulations to Patricia Slachta on your election to regional treasurer
-          Thank You to Diane Paskey (former treasurer) who has graciously taken on the role as Treasury Preceptor
-          HAPPY 45th BIRTHDAY TO THE NORTHEAST REGION OF THE WOUND OSTOMY CONTINENCE NURSE SOCIETY!!!!!
